With the upcoming tour to celebrate his new CD, TV Trio, John
Stetch delves into a more recent and somewhat unexpected
chapter of the Great American Songbook – TV themes of the 70’s
and 80’s. Accompanied by Doug Weiss (bass) and Rodney Green
(drums), the trio presents swinging and fun arrangements of such
classics as Star Trek, Six Million Dollar Man, The Waltons, Love
Boat, Bugs Bunny, The Price is Right, Rocky and Bullwinkle, All My
Children, Dallas, and more. Stetch and his trio will also be
performing new original jazz trio works commissioned by the
Canada Council.
